About the role
You will report into the Service Manager and are responsible for the oversight of the Intensive Family Support team.
You are passionate about effectively engaging families within the community. Within this role you will be responsible for engaging with families referred to our Churches of Christ Care Prevention and Early Intervention services within our Communities team.
The IFS team uses a range of assessments, short-term practical interventions and therapeutic approaches to develop case plans to assist families with multiple and complex needs.
Your role includes providing direct, in-home support services to families, including the provision of after hours and 'on-call' services on a rotational basis as well as undertaking risk and needs assessments and providing advice and facilitating referrals. Ideally, you will have had experience in developing case plans collaboratively with families and key stakeholders involved with the family.
You are passionate about the welfare of children and achieving the absolute best outcomes for them.
You will have completed a recognised qualification (Degree level or higher) in Social/Behavioural Sciences or related discipline. Your experience should include a minimum two years of leading a multidisciplinary team in a child protection context.
You will also have applied knowledge of financial management systems and budgeting. It is essential you have a minimum two years' experience in the provision of care services to children and young people in statutory care.
You are proud of your ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, prioritising your workload, and managing your time effectively in order to successfully meet deadlines. You have a driven and motivated personality with an ambition to support the activities aligned with our strategic direction.
Importantly, you will be someone who closely aligns with our organisational values of unconditional love; wise stewardship; mutual trust and continual innovation.
