About the role
Do you want to join a service with a great team spirit? Look no further!
Reporting to the Regional Manager Retirement Living, you will manage retirement village operations for up to 100 units. Your major focus will be to coordinate the retirement villages' operations encompassing resident outcomes, sales, asset management and staffing activities, all within budgetary constraints. You will also be working closely with the Retirement Living Management team to promote the retirement living lifestyle, facilitating timely unit vacancy turnovers and refurbishments.
You will pride yourself on promoting the safety, security and optimal health and wellbeing of residents. Hence, you will develop strategies to address identified needs of our residents and ensure their rights are always maintained. Welcoming your knowledge and experience, you will provide leadership to the team and are responsible for all aspects of workforce management. You will also negotiate with contractors for a wide range of services.
This permanent, part-time position is 30.4 hours a fortnight (4 days) and is responsible for our retirement villages located in Mitchelton and Acacia Ridge. Within the 30.4 hours per fortnight, we are flexible regarding days. This may suit someone during school hours over multiple days.
You are a dynamic, confident manager who thrives on making a difference in the lives of seniors. Due to your exceptional negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills you easily engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Well-developed prioritisation, leadership and problem solving skills are some of your strengths. As a self-starter you can take ownership of multiple tasks without being micro-managed. You will have the demonstrated ability to identify stakeholder requirements, alter services in response to identified needs, and evaluate satisfaction.
Ideally you will have:
Solid experience at a site operational level within a customer driven environment, ideally in Retirement Living;
Qualifications in management or equivalent;
Experience in sales, marketing and/or communications is a benefit, however, not essential;
Demonstrated knowledge and application of industry regulations, such as the Queensland Retirement living Act 1999, and quality standards in Retirement Living is highly desirable;
Computer literate and efficient in using Microsoft Office products;
Current driver's licence and National Police Certificate.
Importantly, you will be someone who closely aligns with our organisational values of: modelling unconditional love; behaving with integrity; and being good stewards.
