About the role
Reporting to the Application Support Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the business intelligence strategy, providing clear insight gained from internal and external resources aligned with the organisation strategy.
You will be the go-to person for establishing the Information Architecture to drive our corporate Business Intelligence (BI) strategy, data warehouse, analytics and reporting.
Each day will be distinct in this varied role, however, your key everyday duties will include, but not limited to, the following:
- Providing a single source of truth data warehouse, ensuring information is consistent across the whole organisation;
- Liaising with the applications teams (delivery and support) to ensure software and application development maintains data structure and format integrity for reporting purposes;
- Leading and mentoring a small team of capable developers and analysts;
Based on your previous experience and skillset, you have the ability to provide advice and support for the integration of applications data and other sources into the data warehouse.
You are an expert at navigating technology in response to business requirements. An astute problem solver, you troubleshoot on your feet.
Strong communication skills are part of your skillset as it fosters positive relationships with technical and non-technical colleagues.
It is important that you are an efficient person with the ability to listen to the needs of management and general staff. You will possess a high degree of professionalism and initiative.
To be suitable for this position, your qualifications for the role will consist of:
Degree qualification in a relevant field;
- Expert in Business Intelligence Concepts and Architecture;
- Minimum three years demonstrated recent system development experience in the business intelligence field;
- Minimum three years recent data warehouse solution architecture experience;
- Minimum two years working with Power BI;
You will also have the ability to transfer concept and design into deliverables that meet business requirements, and possess experience in the development of a whole of the business conceptual model.
Experience in managing teams will also be vital to success in this role.
