About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Communications professional with a passion for making a real difference. The role is focused on telling the stories of our Children, Youth and Families, Seniors Living and Housing Services teams; and supporting our internal business partners along the way.

 

The role spans external corporate communications, marketing communications, media relations and some event support. You are a natural storyteller and talented writer, with the ability to create a wide variety of content across multiple channels that connects with your audience. You will work with stakeholders across our complex organisation to meet their communications needs, so your ability to build strong relationships and earn trust will be invaluable.  You are flexible, creative, an ideas generator, and a safe pair of hands who can be relied on to identify solutions and deliver results.

 The role involves proactive storytelling and content-creation, responding to media enquiries, and supporting the team with issues management.  You will produce corporate publications, media releases and responses, posts for social media, speeches, presentations, website content, marketing collateral, Communications plans and videos

About You

  • You will have at least 5 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a large, complex organisation, and one of your biggest strengths is your writing ability and willingness to collaborate.
  • You are a passionate reputation guardian, brand champion and storyteller who wants to work for a purpose-led organisation.
  • You are an experienced communications all-rounder, comfortable engaging at all levels of the organisation.
  • Your enthusiasm, relationship building skills and flexibility will be highly regarded.
  • You possess a talent for producing creative, engaging content across a vast range of channels and audiences, telling the stories of both our amazing team and the many people we support.
  • You are a collaborative and supportive team member.
  • You calmly and diplomatically manage multiple competing tasks and deadlines, and always take a grace under pressure approach to your work.

Remuneration: $95, 000 - $100, 000 base plus super (plus significant salary sacrificing benefits)

 

Your qualifications and experience should include:

  • Degree qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing is highly desirable, or demonstrated relevant experience;
  • Minimum five years' experience in External or Internal Communications, PR, Marketing, Events and/or Stakeholder Relations;
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate messages to key audiences with a strategic approach;
  • Experience creating content for media, internal audiences, and social media channels;
