Highlighting the importance of this role  

We have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Service Worker to join our team at Kolan Gardens Aged Care Service on a Casual basis. Located 50km South West of Bundaberg, our 22-bed service is situated in the quiet country town of Gin Gin.  

You will be responsible for kitchen and dining room, duties within our Residential facility. As an integral member of the team, you will deliver services to our much-loved residents.  

In this role you will:  

  • Assist in the preparation of meals;  
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment;  
  • Assist with the serving of meals, including setting up and cleaning;  

   

What you can bring to the team  

To be successful in this role, you must have compassion for the elderly, and be passionate about maintaining an environment suitable to their needs. You will be a positive individual who works well with others, and always happy to support your fellow team members.  

As the Environmental Services Worker, ideally your experience and qualifications include:  

  • Certificate II in Cleaning Operations and/or Certificate II in Kitchen Operations or similar is desirable;  
  • Experience in the Aged Care industry will be highly regarded;  
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts across a 7-day week;  
  • Possess or have the ability to acquire a current National Police Check and NDIS Screening.
