About the role
Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for monitoring the quality of care being provided to children and young people living in family-based placements.
The role is available in our South East Fostering Team. We provide support to children, young people and their carers throughout Logan, Beaudesert and Gold Coast regions, however, this role will be based at our Springwood site.
You will be the go-to person for carer suitability assessments including initial and renewal carer assessments. No two days will be the same in this diverse role, however, your day-to-day responsibilities will be focused on recruitment, assessment and training of Foster and Kinship Carers and applicants.

You are passionate about the welfare of children and achieving the absolute best outcomes for them. With an empathetic nature you are compassionate toward vulnerable individuals. You are approachable, and a good problem solver who can think quickly on your feet to make sound decisions. Excellent interpersonal skills are part of your skillset enabling you to build rapport with internal and external people and stakeholders easily. In addition, you have comprehensive knowledge of legislative requirements and can promote a culture of compliance.
