About our Personal Care Workers 

Joining our Fairhaven Maryborough team, your primary responsibility will be to deliver direct care to residents while helping them with their daily activities in a manner that caters to their unique physical, spiritual, social, and cultural needs. We offer a range of flexible shifts, including mornings, afternoons, nights, and overnights. 

Within the course of your dynamic day, your duties will encompass: 

  • Providing personal care and offering both physical and emotional support to residents who require assistance with their daily living. 
  • Engaging in the development and evaluation of care plans for residents/clients, while ensuring accurate documentation and promptly reporting any observed changes in resident health to the Registered Nurse/Enrolled Nurse. 
  • Respecting and safeguarding the personal dignity and privacy of all residents, their representatives, and staff members, maintaining strict confidentiality in all interactions with residents and their representatives. 
  • Assisting in the creation of a comfortable, secure, and safe environment for residents, ensuring their well-being. 
  • Carrying out assigned tasks delegated by the Registered Nurse and ensuring their timely completion. 

 

About You 

You possess a compassionate nature and enjoy being around and caring for seniors. Building relationships with our residents and understanding their needs is something you genuinely value in order to provide exceptional care. Your positive attitude and ability to work well support with others makes you a valuable team member.  

 Your experience and qualifications for this role should include: 

  • Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or Individual Support; 
  • Competency unit HLTHPS006 – Assist clients with medication, or willingness to obtain;  
  • Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including morning afternoons and nights across a 7-day week; 
  • Current National Police and NDIS Screening Check or the ability to obtain.
