The Lakes Church, QLD, is seeking applications for a new part-time role on our team to help us
love people and invite them to join us in a growing relationship with Jesus.

We're looking for someone who loves Jesus, loves people, and will bring their gifts to serve with
joy and excellence. Whether you're experienced in ministry or exploring your next step, we'd
love to hear from you and discern what contribution you could make to our team.

We are looking to fill two part-time roles, which could be combined into a larger role depending
on fit. Remuneration follows Churches of Christ in Queensland guidelines or the relevant award.
Applicants must have the right to work in Australia, hold or be eligible for a Queensland
Working With Children Check (Blue Card) and Police Check, and be willing to be endorsed as a
Ministering Person with Churches of Christ in Queensland where applicable.

VOLUNTEERS COORDINATOR

The Volunteers Coordinator will build systems and teams to help people find a place to serve
and help everyone work together. This is a paid position for 2 days per week, commencing early
2026.

This role is ideal for someone who:

• Thrives on organisation, communication, and teamwork.
• Loves systems, details, and supporting people.
• Relates well to people.

In this role you will:

• Lead the recruitment, onboarding and training of volunteers across all church ministries.
• Manage volunteer involvement, helping people join teams, find roles, and grow in serving.
• Develop quarterly rosters for all teams, in consultation with team leaders.
• Oversee Blue Cards and Safe Ministry Checks for all volunteers.
• Be involved in routine administrative and operational tasks as part of the staff team.
