Permanent Part Time

About the Role:

Churches of Christ Queensland are currently seeking a permanent part time Cook at our Gracehaven Aged Care Service.  This role will see you preparing meals and undertaking basic cooking duties.

About you:

You’re looking for a fresh challenge and enjoy using your cooking skills to create meals that nourish, comfort, and bring a sense of home to our elderly residents.

Our ideal candidate:

Essential:

• Strong understanding of safe food hygiene and kitchen safety practices
  Current Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
• Valid Australian Work Rights - Unfortunately we are not currently able to sponsor

Desirable:

• One years' experience as a commercial cook
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Outlook and Internet Explorer
• Undertake basic record keeping (eg number of meals per day, missed meals, fridge/freezer temps maintained)
• Confidence in communicating with supervisor and suppliers
