About the Role:

Churches of Christ Queensland are currently seeking a Part time Cook for Kolan Gardens Aged Care Service for our 22 bed Residencial care based in Gin Gin. In this role, you will prepare nutritious, home-style meals that bring comfort and enjoyment to our residents while supporting a safe and welcoming kitchen environment.

About You

As a Cook, you’ll play a vital role in the daily lives of our residents by ensuring efficient meal service and assist with food prep in line with safety standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and cooking meals in line with dietary requirements
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and presentation
• Completing basic kitchen record keeping
• Assisting with stock control and ordering
• Working both independently and as part of a supportive hospitality team

Our ideal candidate has:

Essential:

• Demonstrated knowledge of commercial food preparation, cooking processes and food hygiene
• Currently holds, or willing to obtain a current Police Check
• Hold valid Australian Work Rights – Unfortunately we are not currently able to sponsor
• Previous cooking experience in aged care or bulk catering (highly regarded)
