This is more than a traditional Commercial Data Analyst role this is an opportunity to work with the General Manager – Commercial and Analytics to design and shape our commercial reporting, data, and analysis offerings to provide our leaders with the commercial performance and budgeting detail to make highly informed business decisions.
About you and your new opportunity:
This is a new role working directly with GM– Commercial and Analytics and you will take the lead on:
Developing, maintaining, and analysing commercial reports and dashboards.
Designing and managing our reporting tools using Power BI, excel and other platforms.
Testing, configuring, and rolling out budgeting software and support for users.
Collaborating with the commercial team to identify cost-savings and/or commercial opportunities across the business and deliver decision-making insights.
Support, maintain, and where appropriate lead cost/benefit and financial modelling to inform future commercial strategies and identify market trends or opportunities.
Build a suite of commercial reporting to drive our performance analysis and reporting processes to support commercial and operational trend assessments.
Develop our forecasting and budgeting tools to improve yearly process (we use Prophix for this).
Supporting the GM with a range of executive activities, such as board reporting, projects, business opportunity modelling, and as commercial representative for meetings.
Key deliverables in the role:
Develop and assess commercial performance KPIs.
Develop CBA and financial modelling tools and analysis to support commercial decisions.
Build and implement reporting tools and enhancements.
Develop operational performance and trend reporting for the business.
Support our forecast and future planning processes and tools to support commercial.
What You Bring
A degree in Finance (or equivalent) and CPA or CA (ideal but not essential)
Proven experience in a commercial advisory/partnering role.
Advanced skills in Power BI, Excel, and other analytical tools; experience with Prophix is a plus as well as with strong financial modelling capability.
Strong proficiency in Excel and data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau), including:
Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, Power Pivot, and efficient advanced formulas)
Power BI capabilities (DAX, Power Query, data modelling, security, and service deployment)
Working knowledge of SQL query development, data engineering concepts, data warehousing, ETL/development pipelines, and cube structures.
Demonstrated experience (ideally a few years) building, maintaining, and managing Power BI dashboards across both Desktop and Service environments, including handling large datasets extracted from multiple systems.

Not for profit salary packaging up to $18,549 tax-free which is - $15,900 per tax free and up to $2,650 for meals and entertainment.
