About the Role
As a Community Engagement Trainee, you will support the Housing Services team to deliver vibrant, meaningful engagement activities for tenants and local communities across Southeast Queensland. This hands‑on role is perfect for someone looking to enter the community services sector and build practical experience while studying.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist with planning and delivering community development events and programs.
• Provide administrative support for community engagement initiatives.
• Help promote engagement through social media, newsletters and face‑to‑face interactions.
• Support event setup, pack‑down, and safe handling of equipment, food and beverages.
• Maintain accurate participation and activity records.
• Engage respectfully with tenants, stakeholders and community members.
• Complete all training and assessment requirements for the Certificate III in Community Services.

What We’re Looking For
• An interest in community services & housing.
• Good communication skills and ability to interact with diverse communities.
• Basic organisational and administrative ability.
• A willingness to learn and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Current driver’s licence.

Desirable
• Volunteering experience.
• Willingness to learn.

Compliance Requirements
• Ability to obtain a National Police Check and Blue Card.
