About the role

Churches of Christ Queensland are currently seeking a Full Time Physiotherapist for our Gracehaven Aged Care Service in Bundaberg.  

As a Physiotherapist, you will:

• Delivering personalised physiotherapy services tailored to each resident's needs, goals, and care plans, in collaboration with nursing and allied health teams.
• Developing and maintaining comprehensive physiotherapy care plans that reflect assessment findings, treatment goals, and progress, ensuring alignment with best practice and aged care standards.
• Participating in case conferences and multidisciplinary reviews to ensure holistic, resident-centred care.
• Leading and supporting manual handling programs, including training staff in safe and effective techniques, and modelling best practice in daily operations.
• Maintaining physiotherapy equipment to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Staying current with aged care physiotherapy trends, participating in ongoing professional development, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the service.
• Promoting a culture of safety, quality, and innovation, aligned with Churches of Christ's mission and values.

What we're looking for

As our Physiotherapist at Gracehaven Aged Care, you'll be more than a clinician—you'll be a trusted partner in our residents' health journeys. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you'll help older Australians maintain their independence, mobility, and dignity through compassionate, evidence-based care.

 Our ideal candidate

• Current registration with AHPRA as a qualified Physiotherapist.
• Minimum two years' experience in physiotherapy (experience in aged care is highly regarded).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.
• Intermediate computer skills, including the ability to use clinical documentation systems and Microsoft Office applications

• Possess a current National Police Check Certificate or the ability to obtain one
