About you and your new opportunity:

In this role, you'll support the ongoing development and improvement of child safe practices across our organisation. Working closely with the Child Safe Practice Lead and a range of stakeholders, you'll help strengthen our child safe culture through education, policy, compliance and practical support.

You'll be involved in:

  • Supporting compliance with Child Safe legislation and standards
  • Helping develop and deliver engaging Child Safety education and training
  • Assisting with incident responses and continuous improvement activities
  • Contributing to policy reviews and practice improvements
  • Ensuring the voices of all children and young people are reflected in our work

 

What you will bring to our team:

You're someone who is genuinely committed to the safety and wellbeing of children and motivated to make a real difference. You'll bring empathy, professionalism and resilience to sensitive work, with experience or exposure to child safety or trauma-informed practice, are comfortable working with legislation and policies, and skilled at building positive, respectful relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.

We'll love it if you bring:

  • Experience in child-centred and safety‑focused work
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
  • A collaborative, improvement‑focused mindset
  • Confidence using everyday Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • An alignment with the mission and values of Churches of Christ

Relevant qualifications in social work, behavioural science or similar are highly regarded, but equivalent experience is welcome.

You will also need:

  • A current driver's licence
  • Hold, or the ability to obtain required checks (Police Check, Blue Card, and relevant child safety checks)
