Environmental Service Worker

Permanent Part Time Opportunities - Fair Haven Aged Care, Hervey Bay QLD

Churches of Christ Queensland is seeking dedicated Environmental Service Workers to join our Fair Haven Service, a 78‑bed Residential Aged Care home in Hervey Bay, Urraween. In this varied role, you’ll support our kitchen team with food preparation and service, maintain clean dining spaces, and help ensure a safe, hygienic environment within and around the kitchen..

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning resident rooms and communal areas
• Laundry duties (washing, drying, folding and distribution)
• Assisting in the kitchen with meal preparation and service
• Supporting dining room setup and pack down
• Following infection control and safety procedures
• Work closely with the team to keep things running smoothly

About You

• Reliable, positive and team-orientated
• Previous experience in cleaning, laundry, hospitality, or kitchen hand roles (aged care experience is desirable)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team and manage competing priorities
• Ability to work across day, afternoon, and night shifts
• Hold valid Australian Work Rights – Unfortunately we are not currently able to sponsor
