Catering Assistant

About the role

An opportunity exists for a Catering Assistant to join our team at Gracehaven Aged Care.

Your day to day tasks will include:

• Assisting in the preparation of various meals
• Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment;
• Assisting with the servicing of meals, including setting up and cleaning the dining room, trolleys and trays.

About you

You are an enthusiastic reliable worker who enjoys being a team player and yet can work autonomously. You have compassion for the elderly and are passionate about maintaining an environment suitable to their needs. You are a hands-on individual always looking for variety.

Ideally you will have:

• Certificate II in Kitchen Operations or similar is desirable but not essential;
• Experience working in the Aged Care industry is desirable;
• Experience working in commercial kitchens;
• Willingness to work a variety of shifts across a 7 day week;
• Possess or have the ability to acquire a current National Police Certificate.
