Shape how change really lands.

Churches of Christ is transforming our ways of working, our technology and how services are delivered across our diverse community environments. We’re looking for a Change Manager who thrives in complexity and knows how to guide organisations through change that is meaningful, people‑centered, and sustainable.

We are looking for an experienced practitioner, someone who is trusted to exercise judgement, influence without authority, and help leaders make sense of competing priorities, resistance, and ambiguity.

The Opportunity

As a Change Manager you will lead the people readiness aspect across our projects. You will partner closely with project leaders and business stakeholders to ensure change is understood, adopted and embedded, not just delivered.

You will apply pragmatic change leadership, focusing effort where it matters most, scaling artefacts appropriately, and helping leaders navigate real‑world constraints.

What You Will Do

  • Lead people‑centered change across complex, enterprise initiatives, ensuring readiness, adoption, and sustained outcomes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to project managers and stakeholders, providing clear, practical guidance on change strategy.
  • Diagnosing business and stakeholder impacts, translating them into targeted communication, engagement, and training approaches.
  • Anticipate and manage resistance by identifying risks early and helping leaders address concerns constructively.
  • Balance multiple initiatives at different stages of delivery, making informed decisions about priority, effort, and focus.
  • Guide business transition and post‑go‑live support so teams feel confident and capable in new ways of working.
  • Contribute to the ongoing maturity of change capability by embedding structured, fit‑for‑purpose change practices.

What Sets This Role Apart

  • You will work across multiple, high‑impact initiatives, often simultaneously, with competing priorities and evolving scope.
  • You will influence outcomes through credibility, insight, and relationships.
  • You will help shape how change is done in the organisation, not just deliver against templates.
  • You will be supported to apply best practice while remaining practical, commercial and outcomes focused.

What You Will Bring

  • Significant experience leading the people side of change in complex environments, ideally across transformation programs.
  • Strong capability in core change artefacts (e.g., impact assessments, stakeholder analysis, communication, and training plans) and the judgement to scale them appropriately.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust, influence diverse stakeholders, and explain change in clear, practical terms.
  • Confidence navigating ambiguity, resistance and competing demands while maintaining momentum.
  • Experience in process mapping, workflow analysis and identifying practical business improvements.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, IT, or a related discipline, with formal Change Management certification (e.g., PROSCI, ACMP).
  • A resilient, analytical, and people‑centered mindset, grounded in outcomes rather than activity.
