The Lakes Church, QLD, is seeking applications for a new part-time role on our team to help us
love people and invite them to join us in a growing relationship with Jesus.

We're looking for someone who loves Jesus, loves people, and will bring their gifts to serve with
joy and excellence. Whether you're experienced in ministry or exploring your next step, we'd
love to hear from you and discern what contribution you could make to our team.

We are looking to fill two part-time roles, which could be combined into a larger role depending
on fit. Remuneration follows Churches of Christ in Queensland guidelines or the relevant award.
Applicants must have the right to work in Australia, hold or be eligible for a Queensland
Working With Children Check (Blue Card) and Police Check, and be willing to be endorsed as a
Ministering Person with Churches of Christ in Queensland where applicable.

CONNECTIONS COORDINATOR/PASTOR
The Connections Coordinator/Pastor will help people move from visiting or attending to
becoming part of our church community. In this role you will help people find a place to belong.

This is a paid position for 2 days per week, commencing early 2026.

This role is ideal for someone who:

• Naturally connects with others and loves to see them flourish.
• Is organised and able to build systems that are people-focused.

In this role you will:

• Lead our Connections ministry, helping new people feel welcome and take next steps.
• Lead our Sunday teams of welcome, info desk, setup and hospitality, and develop our
  midweek follow-up team.
• Oversee how people are moving and connecting (newcomers, groups, serving and care) to
  make sure no one falls through the cracks.
• Coordinate welcome events for newcomers.
• Be involved in routine administrative and operational tasks as part of the staff team.
