About the Role:

Churches of Christ Queensland are currently seeking a part time Cook at our Kolan Gardens Aged Care Service.  This role will see you preparing meals, undertaking basic cooking duties and ensuring the

About You

Are you someone who is up for a new challenge and to be part of a dedicated aged care team, using your cooking expertise to create meal experiences that nourish not only the body but also provide emotional comfort and a sense of home for elderly residents?

Our ideal candidate has:

Essential:

• Has a strong knowledge of safe food hygiene practices and kitchen safety
• Currently holds, or willing to obtain a current Police Check
• Hold valid Australian Work Rights - Unfortunately we are not currently able to sponsor

Desirable:

• One years' experience as a commercial cook
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Outlook and Internet Explorer
• Undertake basic record keeping (eg number of meals per day, missed meals, fridge/freezer temps maintained)
• Confidence in communicating with supervisor and suppliers
