About the Role

As our Cook, you will:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with precision, creativity, and attention to dietary requirements
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment in line with cleaning and infection-control standards
  • Keep accurate records of key kitchen and stock data
  • Liaise with supervisors and suppliers regarding stock control and ordering
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Contribute ideas for menu development and special events

About you:

You are someone who enjoys working with the elderly and understands the impact good food can have on wellbeing. Your excellent time-management skills, reliability, and commitment to safe food practices make you a valuable addition to our team.

You will also bring:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of commercial food preparation, cooking processes, and a strong knowledge of food hygiene. 
  • At least one year’s experience as a commercial cook
  • Strong understanding of food safety legislation, texture-modified diets, and special dietary needs
  • Experience in the aged care sector is highly regarded
  • Valid Australian work rights (Please note that Sponsorship is not available)
