Environmental Service Worker - Cleaner

Permanent Part-Time (20 hours p/wk)

About the Role

Churches of Christ Queensland are currently seeking an Environmental Service Worker - Cleaner to join our St James Retirement Village in Heatley, Townsville. As part of our team, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our residents, helping them to enjoy their home and community.

About You

You will ideally have:

• Previous cleaning experience, preferably within aged care, retirement living, hospitality or a similar, multi-disciplinary environment.
• A strong eye for detail and pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A friendly, respectful and professional approach when interacting with residents.
• An understanding of workplace health and safety and safe cleaning practices.
• Reliability, initiative and a strong work ethic.

Key Criteria

Essential

• Current First Aid and CPR Certificates.
• Current National Police Check - or ability to acquire.
• Valid Australian working rights - unfortunately, we are not currently able to sponsor.

Desirable

• Certified II in Cookery or similar
