About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Environmental Service Worker to join our Barcoo Living Multi-Purpose Site located in Blackall, Queensland. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that supports the wellbeing, dignity, and comfort of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning resident rooms and communal areas
• Laundry duties (washing, drying, folding and distribution)
• Assisting in the kitchen with meal preparation and service
• Supporting dining room setup and pack down
• Following infection control and safety procedures
• Working collaboratively within the team

About You

• Reliable, positive and team-orientated
• Experience in cleaning, hospitality or similar (aged care desirable)
• Good communication skills
• Able to work across different tasks and priorities
• Full Australian work rights

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience in cleaning, laundry, hospitality, or kitchen hand roles (aged care experience is desirable)
• Basic computer skills (e.g., Outlook, internet use)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team and manage competing priorities
• Hold valid Australian work rights
• National Police Check (or ability to obtain)

Desirable

• Certificate III in Cookery or similar qualification
• Experience working within aged care or a similar environment
