About the Role

Churches of Christ Queensland are currently seeking an Environmental Service Worker to join our 117-bed Bribie Island Aged Care Service, a residential aged care home providing quality care and support to our residents.

This is a hands-on role working across cleaning and laundry services. You will complete laundry duties and maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment throughout the facility.

About You

The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting older people and contributing to a welcoming and positive environment for our residents.

Essential:

  • Proven experience in cleaning and/or laundry.
  • A strong understanding of cleaning practices and workplace safety.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A genuine commitment to providing high-quality service to residents.
  • Currently holds, or is willing to obtain, a current National Police Check.
  • Holds valid Australian working rights – unfortunately, we are not currently able to sponsor.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working in aged care or a similar care environment.
  • Certificate II in Cookery or a similar qualification.
