About the role
The Housing Chaplain is a key member of the team providing holistic care and support to residents and staff within a housing context. The role is responsible for the delivery of a number of key objectives which includes, but is not limited to:
Chaplains are members of the Church and Community Engagement team of Churches of Christ, and support activities aligned with the strategic direction of, and consistent with, the mission and values of Churches of Christ.
This part time position (4 days a week) provides chaplaincy services to multiple sites within the Gold Coast region.
About you
You are active in your Christian faith and have a demonstrated competence in holistic pastoral care. As a team person with a teachable spirit, you are able to communicate effectively with others in a variety of contexts. You are comfortable in working alongside people from different faiths, cultures and lifestyle choices as well as educational backgrounds. You are a caring and positive role model to others and have proven leadership and management skills with the capacity to deliver outcomes, inspire and motivate teams and work across organisational boundaries to achieve shared goals.
