This role is hands-on, with a strong focus on managing employee relations matters and partnering closely with leaders to navigate complex people challenges, build capability, and drive better workplace outcomes.About You

You will be a confident and capable HR professional who enjoys being close to the action, not removed from it and bring to the team:

  • Confidence in handling investigations and sensitive workplace matters.
  • Experience supporting or exposure to unionised workforces and industrial frameworks.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach, providing advice and solutions.
  • Communication and skills, with the ability to build trust and influence leaders on-site.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel to sites as required.

What you will be doing.

  • Managing a steady volume of employee relations cases including performance, misconduct, conflict, and attendance matters.
  • Conducting and supporting workplace investigations and preparing clear, compliant outcomes.
  • Coaching frontline leaders on people management, decision-making and risk mitigation.
  • Supporting unionised workforces, ensuring fair and consistent application of industrial frameworks.
  • Facilitating conversations, mediations, and practical on-the-ground interventions to resolve issues and improve team dynamics.
  • Building strong relationships with site leaders and providing timely, practical advice in real-time environments
  • Working across multiple sites, with planned and balanced travel as part of a national HR team
