About this role
Your role as Infrastructure Engineer will see you managing the seamless operation of our digital platforms having an impact across the whole application. We are a highly collaborative and autonomous team, where you will be trusted to design, build, manage, and maintain diverse infrastructure environments, from traditional datacentres, legacy systems to cutting-edge cloud solutions.
Our team works closely with our Applications and Support teams to ensure our infrastructure environments and the security of them are reliable and support delivery for the business.
You will enjoy the autonomy to work on a diverse range of systems and applications, and bring the experience to work at pace and with an eye on quality, repeatable process, and have the scope across:
Designing, installing, configuring, and supporting servers, networks, and security systems.
Optimising performance and improving infrastructure systems across multiple platforms.
Managing infrastructure lifecycle tasks across upgrades, migrations, patching and decommissioning.
Driving innovation with expertise in cloud technologies and proactive technical recommendations.
Implementing and maintaining secure, scalable Azure networking solutions.
Ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and cost optimisation.
About you
You bring a wide range of technical skills coupled with the communication and problem-solving abilities that will enable you to navigate challenges effectively and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Our ideal team member will bring to the team:
A Bachelor’s Degree in IT or equivalent experience.
Experience in Windows client/server environments, including Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server, and Azure.
Proven experiences in networking, network security, and IP telephony.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft tools and technologies.
Hands-on experience with Azure services including Purview (governance and security).
An ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Microsoft Associate or higher certifications (365/Azure focus) – ideal but not mandatory.
The ability to quickly learn new or legacy systems and applications.
