Lifestyle Team Leader

Golden Age Aged Care Service

Permanent Full Time - Monday to Friday - 76 hours a fortnight based in Southport


About the role

As our Lifestyle Therapy Team Leader, you will play a vital role in shaping vibrant, resident‑centred wellbeing programs and leading a passionate team of lifestyle therapists to bring meaningful experiences to life. You'll inspire and coordinate staff and volunteers, elevate the quality of therapeutic activities, and champion a truly person‑centred approach guided by the Positive Wellbeing Model of Care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor and support lifestyle therapy staff to deliver meaningful activities.
  • Assess resident needs and develop person‑centred lifestyle care plans.
  • Design, deliver and evaluate individual, small‑group and large‑group activity programs.
  • Coordinate resources, schedules and volunteer involvement to support daily operations.
  • Support residents to participate, build connections and enhance their wellbeing.
  • Review and update lifestyle plans to ensure they continue to meet resident needs.

About you

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Health.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Light Rigid Bus Licence (Class LR) is highly regarded.
  • Knowledge and application of person-centred preference-driven philosophies.
  • Three years' experience in the development and delivery of contemporary leisure and recreational programs within Aged Care is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience in the management of leisure and recreational staff.
