Maintenance Officer

Permanent Full Time - 76 hours a fortnight based in Bongaree QLD

About the Role

As part of our small, dedicated team, you will play a key role in keeping our facilities safe, functional, and welcoming. Your days will be hands‑on and varied, drawing on your trade skills and practical know‑how to support the smooth operation of our sites.

In this role, you will:

  • Carry out general maintenance and repair work using your trade skills
  • Complete tasks such as repairs, installations, cleaning, and minor fixes
  • Maintain grounds through pruning, fertilising and garden waste removal
  • Follow the preventative maintenance schedule to keep facilities in top condition
  • Support and guide contractors, staff, and volunteers, including providing training when required
  • Keep accurate records and update the asset management system

This role is perfect for someone who loves variety, takes pride in their work, and enjoys contributing to a supportive community environment.

About You

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates
  • Knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements, or ability to obtain within one month
  • Current driver's licence
  • Minimum 12 months' experience in a handyman or maintenance role
  • Relevant trade qualification (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, electrical) (desirable)
  • Experience using a computer‑based asset management system (e.g. HardCat) (desirable)
  • Experience in the aged care or community services sector (desirable)
  • Hold valid Australian Work Rights - Unfortunately we are not currently able to sponsor
