About the Role:

Churches of Christ Queensland are currently seeking a Part time Maintenance Officer for Kolan Gardens Aged Care Service for our 22 bed Residential care based in Gin Gin.
This role is essential in maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents, through general repairs, garden upkeep, and day‑to‑day maintenance support. 

About You

As a Maintenance Officer, you'll play a vital role in the daily lives of our residents. Every day will bring something different, from shaping hedges to fixing minor repairs, using your practical know‑how to ensure our sites run smoothly and look their best. You'll often work near residents enjoying the gardens, so a warm, friendly personality is important.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintain outdoor areas by removing garden waste, managing weeds, and keeping paths and common spaces tidy
• Complete general maintenance and repair work using your trade skills
• Support day‑to‑day tasks such as minor repairs.
• Follow the preventative maintenance schedule to keep facilities in excellent condition

Our ideal candidate has:

Essential:

• Solid experience in maintenance or similar role
• Current driver's licence
• Currently holds, or willing to obtain a current Police Check
• Hold valid Australian Work Rights - Unfortunately we are not currently able to sponsor
