About the Role

At our Palms Aged Care Facility, Located in Ingham, Queensland, we’re looking for a reliable and caring Maintenance Officer to help create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming home for our residents. This is more than just a maintenance role, you’ll play an important part in supporting the wellbeing, dignity, and quality of life of the people who call our service home.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs
• Maintain gardens and outdoor areas (mowing, pruning, upkeep)
• Support preventative maintenance schedules
• Assist and coordinator with contractors on-site
• Complete maintenance records and utilise asset systems
• Contribute to a safe, clean, and well-presented environment

About You

• Reliable, hands on and solutions focused
• Experience in maintenance, handyman, or similar role
• Good communication skills and problem-solving skills
• Able to manage tasks and priorities effectively

Essential Requirements

• National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
• Current First Aid and CPR
• Basic computer skills (e.g., Outlook, internet use)
• Current Drivers License
• Hold valid Australian work rights (We are not able to offer sponsorship)

Desirable

• Minimum 12 months experience in a maintenance or similar role
• Knowledge of Work Health and Safety Requirements (or ability to acquire)
• Experience working within aged care or a similar environment
