Maintenance Officer

About the role:

As a Maintenance Officer, you will carry out day-to-day maintenance and grounds tasks across the site under limited supervision. You’ll support the upkeep of buildings, equipment, and outdoor areas to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff

Every day will bring something different, from shaping hedges to fixing minor repairs, using your practical know‑how to ensure our sites run smoothly and look their best.

In this role, you will:

  • Complete general maintenance tasks including repairs, basic installations, and cleaning
  • Maintain outdoor areas including mowing, pruning, and garden upkeep
  • Follow preventative maintenance schedules to support site upkeep
  • Assist contractors and support on-site works as required
  • Complete basic record keeping using maintenance systems
  • Follow safety procedures and use PPE appropriately

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Experience in a maintenance or handyman or similar hands-on role (desirable)
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work with limited supervision
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements (or willingness to learn)
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience using maintenance systems (desirable)
  • Experience in aged care or community services (desirable)Hold valid Australian Work Rights - Unfortunately we are not currently able to sponsor
