RN Clinical Educator & Quality Coordinator

Mitchelton, QLD | Permanent Full-Time | Monday to Friday

Step away from shift work. Stay clinically connected. Help others grow.

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse ready to use your clinical knowledge to coach, guide and grow others?

This permanent Monday–Friday role gives you the opportunity to remain close to care delivery while moving into education, quality improvement and clinical capability building.

As Clinical Educator & Quality Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting care teams to feel confident, capable and prepared to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care.

You’ll blend hands-on clinical education with quality improvement, working closely with Service and Care Managers to build a culture where learning is continuous, accountability is shared, and quality is everyone’s responsibility.

What makes this role different

  • A genuine split between education and quality
  • Monday to Friday hours, with no shift work
  • Strong clinical influence without people management pressure
  • On-site role — you see the impact of your work every day
  • Trusted clinical expert and quality champion
  • Values-driven organisation with real purpose

In this role, you will:

  • Support onboarding, induction and ongoing education for RNs, ENs, PCWs and students
  • Coach and mentor care teams to build clinical confidence, capability and safe practice
  • Identify training needs through audits, incidents, feedback and quality data, then deliver targeted education
  • Facilitate mandatory competencies and support organisational training requirements
  • Conduct internal audits and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Work with care teams to investigate issues, identify root causes and implement practical solutions
  • Develop, document and monitor action plans and continuous improvement activities
  • Support compliance with clinical, medication, incident, quality and regulatory requirements
  • Model a culture of safety, learning, accountability and continuous improvement

About you

You are an experienced Registered Nurse who enjoys mentoring others, building capability and supporting safe, high-quality care.

You will bring:

  • AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 3 years’ post-graduate experience in aged care and/or acute care
  • Australian work rights, as sponsorship is not available for this role
  • National Police Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR
  • A passion for education, mentoring and capability building
  • Strong clinical knowledge with a quality and risk lens
  • Warm, professional communication skills and the ability to engage diverse teams

Previous experience in a dedicated educator role is not essential — this may suit a confident RN, Clinical Nurse or Care Coordinator who naturally supports others and is ready to take the next step into education and quality.
