About the Role

We’re on the lookout for an experienced and solution-focused Senior Applications Specialist to join our Information Technology team. The Applications Specialist is responsible for providing application subject matter expertise, analysis, and support for D365  FinOps.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues, ensuring alignment with the ITIL service management framework (incident, problem, test, change and configuration management).
  • Direct and govern comprehensive release management processes, including:
    • Test plans and test cases
    • Test summaries and system testing
    • Coordination of User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Drive continuous improvement activities, collaborating with end users to document business requirements for custom development and system integration projects.
  • Use advanced T-SQL to develop, generate, and optimize user-driven reports using:
    • Integrated reporting tools
    • External platforms such as Power BI
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Lead high-level issue resolution and manage collaborative relationships with technical specialists, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain:
    • User guides
    • Troubleshooting documentation
    • Knowledge base articles
    • Procedures and training materials
  • Provide system user training as required.

Who We’re Looking For

You are an experienced Senior Applications Specialist with strong communication skills.  You are able to work with a variety of stakeholders with varying levels of technical competence.  Your experience working within aged care will enable you to relate to our internal stakeholders and provide relevant support.  Experience with D365 FinOps or Epicor is highly desirable to thrive in this role.  


Essential Criteria:
  • Degree qualification Information Systems or similar field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in supporting enterprise CRM/ERPs or other Aged Care Financial Management Applications
  • A solid understanding of Home Care and Residential Aged Care

Desirable Experience:
  • Experience with D365 FinOps, Epicor, or other Financial ERP
  • Previous experience in a similar position with another Aged Care Provider
  • Intermediate T-SQL skills with the ability to develop reports using integrated reporting tools as well as external platforms such as Power BI
  • ITIL certification

Required Clearances (or willingness to obtain):
  • National Police Certificate
  • Working with Children (Blue Card)
  • Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check (LCS)
