Clive Burdeu Aged Care is a 72 bed Aged Care facility located at Hillcrest on Brisbane’s southside, easily accessible via public transport from Browns Plains and surrounding suburbs and has ample onsite parking.

About the Role

As a Senior Personal Care Worker (Night Duty), you’ll provide hands-on personal care and emotional support to residents during the night, while taking a senior role in guiding and supervising Personal Care Workers. You’ll coordinate nightly workloads, ensure high standards of care, and respond promptly to residents’ needs, supporting their safety, comfort, and dignity at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct personal and emotional care to residents during night hours.
  • Supervise and support staff, including mentoring, providing guidance, and overseeing workloads of the PCW team.
  • Coordinate nightly care routines to ensure residents receive quality, consistent support.
  • Assist residents with mobility, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and report any changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff.
  • Uphold residents’ privacy, dignity, and comfort in all aspects of care.
  • Contribute to a safe and positive workplace by following manual handling, infection control, and safety procedures.

About You

You’re a dedicated, compassionate care worker who takes pride in supporting others — both residents and your fellow team members. You’re confident working independently during night shifts and can provide calm, capable leadership in all situations.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent (essential).
  • Completion of an Assist Clients with Medication competency (essential).
  • Demonstrated experience providing personal care and medication assistance in an aged care environment
  • Proven ability to supervise and mentor staff.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates (desirable).
  • Current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain
  • Current Australian work rights (we cannot offer sponsorship for this role)
