About the Role

As a Youth Worker, you’ll support children and young people in care, helping them achieve their goals and thrive in safe, nurturing environments. You’ll be part of a passionate team delivering high-quality services aligned with our mission and values.

• Provide daily care and plan activities aligned with individual care arrangements
• Role model positive behaviours and age-appropriate strategies
• Communicate effectively with staff and management regarding youth issues
• Safely transport young people in line with legal and safety guidelines
• Maintain accurate and legally compliant documentation
• Deliver culturally inclusive services, especially for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities

What You’ll Need

• Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or Certificate III in Community Services (or equivalent experience)
• Current driver’s licence (P2 minimum)
• Understanding of challenges faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
• 1+ year experience working with children, young people, and families
• Strong relationship-building and role modelling skills

• Knowledge of Child Protection and Domestic & Family Violence legislation
• Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

• National Police Certificate
• Working with Children (Blue Card)
• Child Safety and Personal History Screening (LCS) – if applicable
