Business Admin Trainee

Churches of Christ, People and Culture, Kenmore Campus  

12 month fixed-term contract with the possibility of ongoing employment  


About the role  

This is an exciting opportunity based in our beautiful, environmentally-friendly Churches of Christ Kenmore Campus with on-site café.  We currently have a position within our Talent Team available.

Ultimately, we are searching for a dynamic and energetic individual wishing to gain exposure and experience in general administrative duties, answering telephone enquiries, maintaining our student and volunteer management system, updating excel spreadsheets, assisting with adhoc projects as well as how to adhere to different office procedures.   

Don’t worry if you don’t have any office experience, our team is here to guide and support you. What you do need is a positive attitude and be open to give anything a try.   This is role that will change and evolve over time. If you are looking for variety and the opportunity to learn from a great team this role is for you.  

This is an entry-level position under the Business Support Staff Enterprise Agreement, which combines study and work.  This traineeship is best suited to people looking to return to work or younger people wishing to gain a nationally recognised qualification and experience with a reputable organisation.  


About you  

Contributing as an active member of our vibrant group, you will be enthusiastic to learn and eager to assist the team to deliver quality service to the business. You will be supported in your learning on-the-job by experienced team members, and assisted to obtain a formal qualification in Business Administration.

You will be enthusiastic and willing to learn new skills with a keen interest to consider a long-term career within business administration.  You will possess a basic understanding of administration functions. Basic computer skills, including the ability to use the MS office suite is a requirement.  Furthermore, you possess the proven ability to think on your feet and proactively find solutions to issues as and when they arise.
