About you and your new opportunity: 

As our Event Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in bringing our story to life through thoughtfully planned and well‑delivered events. Working closely with our Marketing and Communications team, you’ll help coordinate a wide variety of events that strengthen community relationships, engage stakeholders and support organisational priorities.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, collaboration and seeing ideas come together — from the early planning stages right through to post‑event wrap‑ups.

In this hands‑on and people‑focused role, you will:

  • Help plan, coordinate and deliver a range of events, including community events, internal celebrations, launches, open days and stakeholder engagements
  • Take ownership of event logistics, making sure everything runs smoothly on the day from set-up to pack-down, and being available on-site during events
  • Coordinate and care for event equipment, keeping resources organised and fit for future use
  • Work closely with our Marketing & Communications Team to support event promotion across internal channels, digital platforms, email, social media and printed materials
  • Build positive, respectful relationships with staff, volunteers, community partners and suppliers
  • Assist with event administration, budget management, credit card reconciliation and invoice processing
  • Keep shared event spaces organised, safe and welcoming
  • Contribute to post event evaluation, gathering feedback, reflecting on what worked well, and identifying improvements to continuously improve the quality of our events.

 

What you will bring to our team: 

We’re looking for someone who brings both skills and heart, including:

  • A qualification in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality or similar — or equivalent experience
  • Around 2–3 years’ experience coordinating or delivering events, or a strong interest in commencing a career in Event Coordination and Management
  • A friendly, people‑centred approach with strong communication skills
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office – including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Planner and Outlook – to plan, track, communicate and deliver events effectively.
  • A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel across South‑East Queensland
  • An appreciation for and genuine alignment with the values of Churches of Christ
  • Experience in community, not‑for‑profit, aged care or service‑based organisations will be highly regarded.
