Clinical Educator

Bribie Island, QLD | Permanent Full-Time

Drive Quality. Grow Capability. Shape Better Care.

This is a role for an experienced Registered Nurse who wants to step beyond the bedside and shape the quality of care through people, practice and education.

As Clinical Educator & Quality Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our care teams are confident, capable and compliant — delivering safe, high‑quality, person‑centred care that meets the strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.

You’ll blend hands‑on clinical education with quality improvement leadership, working closely with Service and Care Managers to build a culture where learning is continuous, accountability is shared, and quality is everyone’s responsibility.

What makes this role different

  • A genuine split between education and quality
  • Strong influence without people management pressure
  • On‑site role — you see the impact of your work every day
  • Trusted clinical expert and quality champion
  • Values‑driven organisation with real purpose

In this role, you will:

Educate & Empower

  • Lead onboarding and induction for new care staff
  • Deliver ongoing mentoring, coaching and education to RNs, ENs and PCWs
  • Identify training needs through audits, incidents and feedback and respond with targeted education
  • Facilitate mandatory competencies and learning aligned with organisational training plans
  • Support student placements and emerging clinicians

Lift Quality & Drive Improvement

  • Conduct internal self‑audits in line with the audit calendar and service needs
  • Analyse audit data, quality indicators and incident trends to identify risk and improvement opportunities
  • Investigate root causes of quality issues and work with teams to implement practical solutions
  • Develop, document and track action plans and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Oversee quality indicator data collection and reporting
  • Act as a subject matter expert for clinical, medication, incident and quality management systems

Partner & Lead

  • Work closely with the Service Manager and Care Manager to plan education priorities
  • Model a culture of safety, learning, accountability and continuous improvement
  • Support compliance with legislative, regulatory and reporting requirements

About you

  • AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 3 years’ post‑graduate experience in aged care and/or acute care
  • Australian work rights (sponsorship not available)
  • Current driver’s licence
  • National Police Check
  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • A passion for education, mentoring and capability building
  • Strong clinical knowledge with a quality and risk lens
  • Confidence working with audits, data and continuous improvement plans
  • Warm, professional communication skills and the ability to engage diverse teams
