Talent Partner (Visa & Compliance) - About the role
You will join a committed P&C Contract and Compliance team and lead our day-to-day activities to ensure operational, employment, working right, legislative, and regulatory obligations are met across onboarding and workforce governance.
You will collaborate closely with the wider People & Culture function, to provide clear advice and reporting on visa, migration and compliance questions, review and improve workflows and ensure your team are managing priorities and meeting compliance requirements.
In partnership with your team members, you will:
Provide timely advice or coaching to the wider P&C or hiring managers on Visa requirements and the compliance needs in our systems.
Coordinate and manage team workload and priorities.
Mentor and develop your team, fostering collaboration and high performance.
Develop continual improvement into your team processes to meet governance requirements.
Collaborate with your team to develop reports and metrics to track success and risks across the business, relevant to visas and compliance.
Bring a proactive, people-centred approach to uplift team engagement.
About You:
You will have team leader experiences in a compliance environment, specifically with experiences in visa and migration employment spaces. You are seeking a role that offers genuine opportunities to broaden your experience, work alongside supportive colleagues, and build capability during a period of significant organisational change. You bring:
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related field (desirable but not necessary).
Recent experiences in a HR environment with a focus on employment contracts, compliance, and onboarding and visa processes in a medium to large organisation.
Demonstrated skills in leading and mentoring small teams.
Experience with HRIS or workflow/ticket systems.
Confidence and capability in understanding of data privacy, document control, and record-keeping standards in line with organisational and legislative requirements.
Sound understanding of employment legislation, industrial instruments (e.g., awards, enterprise agreements), and compliance requirements.
An understanding of aged care, youth / children, or health sectors (desirable but not essential).
